7th Annual Milolii Lawai’a Ohana Camp
Milolii Pāka, South Kona Hawaii
Theme: "Moon Phases"
"Kamaliʻi ʻike ʻole i ka helu pō"
Our objectives are to (1) Understand the relationship we as ʻkanakaʻsʻ have with the moon, (2) Understand the relationship between the different moon phases, ocean life and land life (specifically plants); learn how the moon interacts with nature, (3) Learn about the different ʻHawaiianʻ moon phases (inoa Hawaiʻi), (4) Learn how our kūpuna used the moon to their benefit (5) Learn about the Tahitian Moon Phase (compare between the ʻHawaiianʻ and ʻTahitianʻ moon phases).
